sorry i truly think this book is achieving what was attempted with onyx storm - exploring the world effortlessly (this book) without it seeming like the events of the book were created in order to teach us about the world (onyx)?? even if the goal of both books is the same, to show us more about the inner worlds?

such a beautifully written book, characters need help as per, but i really really enjoyed

dnf’d for now - lots of monologuing, almost all of the main characters feel very unmoored, not my vibe (again, for now)
