I don't like this as an audiobook, it's even more pretentious than it probably is in print. But, it's all the library had... and I'm definitely not paying for it. She doesn't mention the titles and authors frequently enough in an audio version. AND SO MUCH JESUS. But, I'm at Disk 6 while I await for it to come back to me from the library.

I get violently annoyed when in books a powerful woman apologizes to a man because he cannot control her. STOP DOING THIS AUTHORS, male and female alike. Don’t do it anywhere. We don’t need to apologize because we’re more than they can handle.

This book is really boring. It's like listening to two old men in a bar telling stories from their glory days, but almost in another language and culture and so full of prejudice and sexism it hurts to restrain yourself from getting violent.

I think everyone is drunk. They make no sense.

If you are struggling to understand conflict in the Middle East, you at least need to read the first two chapters of this book. The hatred, the prejudice, the animosity, the sacrifice- has all been brewing for thousands of years. See it for what it is.
