Yeah there’s something about this that just isn’t vibing for me. Like at all.

I do want to give a shout out to this book for having a pretty sound reason as to why they’re killing off so many people at this Hunger Games school. A lot of these other books just do it for the vibes despite it making no sense *cough* Fourth Wing *cough* The Will of the Many *cough* A Deadly Education

If I the author of this book and I read The Will of the Many I’d be pissed because so far they are the exact same book.

There is no reason for this man to be 16.

Carissa Broadbent has me reading a book with a title straight from my Grandma’s kindle 😭😭😭

What the hell.

Broadbent is a much better writer when she’s not relying on the same tropes over and over again. This allies to lovers thing is so much more convincing than any of her other #enemiestolovers relationships. I also love when the man is kind of useless when shit goes down LOL.

Also I’m sorry but this man is always described as looking like a certain actor who can’t move on from a certain franchise and I’ve just been ignoring it and making up my own descriptions.

Oh my god I actually really like Kyrene and her man and I thought that this book was supposed to be about them… I don’t not care for Oraya and I definitely do not care about Raihn. I would literally rather hear about Mische’s nothing burger of a husband for an entire book then ever have to see Raihn again.

Yeah this is the best one by far

This is doing a pretty good job of connecting of all the previous stories together. Feels a lot like the end of this series, which is sad.

Sorry I have not been active on here folks... just finished a grad program and had to take a bit to just turn my brain off. But we are back because I have a million NetGalley ARCs to get through.

Yeah the Dance of Dragons is cool and all... but why am I more interested in all of the lore outside of it?? What's going on with Mr. Cregan Stark and his hot wife right now? I want a book on that that's going to take eighteen years to write.

Book Rhaenyra honestly is way more likable than show Rhaenyra. Honestly, the show itself is shocking different from this.

Genuinely never seen an opening as bloody and as bold as this before. Damn.

The world building in this is still not great and confusing, but oh my god it is miles better than Fourth Wing.

Immediately downloaded this on Kindle because I’m ready for the Broadbent duology experience to hurt me again. (First book is excellent and then the ending nose-dives off a cliff).

That was certainly one of the more creative kills that I’ve encountered recently.

Finally at House of the Dragon! I’d love to see an adaption of the generations before them one day.

Lowkey this main character is eating the girl from Fourth Wing up.
