Oh dear..
A FASCINATING idea.. but the structure of the story just cant hold my attention...

Its the same problem i have with Azimov - big ideas with poor character-work... There is not enough of the characters to grab my interest. (Some of that may be inherent to the plot, but nevertheless....)

Off to a good start...
The names and events of book 1 were hazy, but the start of this has been a "recover from aftermath, explaining to stranger" type story.. Interesting, and a refresher of who is who.
