Abigail is starting Abhorsen (Abhorsen, #3)
Blue sky through green trees and hammock dwelling whilst listening to a third story of anti-necromancers and magic narrated by Tim Curry. This is therapy. Onward!

I really missed Sabriel, but I do like Lirael so much and honestly prefer the Disreputable Dog to Mogget. Thanks for the ride Nix! Onward to Abhorsen—the last audio I will listen to in the series because honestly? If it’s not Tim Curry narrating is it even in the series anymore?

I found out Tim Curry narrates all three audiobooks and immediately bought them. Listened to this in one day. On to Lirael!

Finished Call of the Wild. I didn't realize how much longer White Fang is. There are some heartbreaking things to the Yukon and that way of life. Especially lived by those who can't tell their stories. By Buck.

I would stop more often with quotes from this book. But it seems that every other paragraph there is just such a lovely description or turn of phrase. The subject matter is harsh, and often bloody and unfair, but real. Yukon. Wild.

It’s weird listening to this on audio when I’ve read it so many times, but it’s better than I thought it would be. Onward!

Had this as a freebie on audible. I have read this series half a dozen times through the years. It cemented my love of reading when I was in middle school. No reading challenge, just good storytelling. Listing to the whole quartet for nostalgia. Alanna holds up, even after two decades. Current authors and screenwriters need to remember what real “girl power” is. Look right here. She EARNS her shield in every way.

I hate this book. It broke my heart into a thousand pieces. I wept, I skipped because it was too hard then went back because it damned-well deserved the reading. It made me stoic and maudlin and horror-struck. I love this book. One of the best stories I have read, and so suited to my mind and soul. Galva and her precious corvids have my heart. I can’t wait to see how her story continues.

I loved “The Willows” but did not care for “The Damned”, go figure. I am excited to finish my Blackwood obsession with “The Wendigo”. This particular lore and legend has always creeped me out. We’ll see how it goes with this haunted tale. Onward!

There were some things I didn’t appreciate about this book. It is REALLY difficult, though, to have high-fantasy without info-dumping or feeling like you’re reading about a D&D campaign. This was entertaining and had a lot of excellent one-liners lol. 4.5 for me but I’ll round it up because so much of it made me smile.
