I’m bowing out. I BARELY made it through Mrs. Dalloway that was a quarter of the length of this book. This is the same, Virginia Woolf, stream of consciousness, say every little thing on your mind prose the almost killed me. Thanks but no thanks!

The pressures of needing to be “worldly” and “cultured” amongst certain circles is ridiculous. The fact that we fall into it? More so.

My boyfriend found this entirely by accident after I finished “The Dispossessed” and jokingly suggested it. Prior to the suggestion I had never heard of it. Upon realizing it was a 30s satire and reading the immortal first sentence “Mr. Papenmeyer was ashamed of his celery!” I knew I had to read it. Onward!

I wanted to like this more than I did. I love dragons and humor and this indeed had both. It was just a little all over the place, but I mostly had fun. Thanks for the ride!

The Last Unicorn is one of my favorite books AND movies. Which is difficult to do! Beagle has been a strange friend for years through his characters and beautiful story telling. I am excited to start this adventure. Onward!

I did not love this book. I have a deep respect for Le Guin and her writing. Her prose is clear and straightforward, but I found a lot of the characters to be flat. The worlds and culture were unique and the themes and philosophy were interesting at times. Maybe I’m just not cut out for Sci-Fi. Thanks for the ride!
