I enjoyed this a lot more than I thought I would. It was a very creative spin on the Peter Pan mythos. I think the amount of violence in the story was ultimately part of the point but it was a bit too much for me at times. Not in a squeamish way; more because it got boring? The shock wears off when every other moment is a blood bath. I like the moral ambiguity of it all. The black and white got gray very quickly 5/10

These stories are surreal. So far I’ve only read two but the left me feeling mostly confused- although I am sensing a theme of motherhood(?), bodily autonomy (maybe). The two stories have definitely stored up some sort of emotional reaction while I read them. I just wish I didn’t feel like I was missing something.

This book’s concept and execution was intriguing and unique. I thought it was a little repetitive and simplistic at times but that may have been due to the translation. Not really a horror story in my opinion and more of a thriller than an outright mystery but it kept me engaged the whole way through. Very well done. 5.5/10
