I have read a few books on Zeppelin and Jimmy Page. Though it was familiar ground, I preferred this book as it was direct and to the point whereas Mick Wall’s book waffled on and was difficult to maintain interest.
Typically, black arts stuff I find boring but it did have bearing on Page’s life, though I don’t really know how Page benefited from it.

Books on Jimmy Page and Led Zeppelin are somewhat formulaic, they use prose to praise songs and talk about witchcraft. You never feel like you’re there with them.

I was given this book as a gift but after reading Mick Wall’s book when giants walked the earth, I don’t like Wall’s writing, it’s unskilled and the flow of the book is terrible. I will complete the book, but I don’t want to EVER read another book by Mick Wall.

I thought it was far too long winded and the narrative doesn’t flow. I don’t like how Mick Wall has written this book. I certainly wouldn’t recommend this book to a Led Zeppelin fan. I will have to read Lemmy by Wall as it was a gift but I won’t be reading anymore books by Wall.

The book is overly long and should be more succinct. The book could be half its length. The chapter on Alister Crowley is just ridiculous. Page’s interest in Crowley is important in the book. Mick Wall seems to be able to articulate Page’s interest, Crowley comes across as someone who needed psychiatric treatment.

It’s okay, a little clumsily written.

I'm reading this to my son and so far it is much like the first book. The characters are meandering through the plot with no real direction.

Not a patch on Harry Potter or Lord of the Rings.

I thought it should have been a video. It is disjointed as a book and talks a lot about his passion for things in his life. I think this could have been better expressed as a video.

Very long winded, there has been too much fanzine chat in the book. I found it made the book too dreary. The author also states opinions only to state a different opinion later in the book.
