This book is a retelling of Disney's Lady and the Tramp set in Regency England! Too funny!

This looked kind of fun, but . . . the original Greek myths are more interesting. I'm kind of skimming through . . . but it is better than the last free book I attempted to read, so that's something.

Definitely concerned for Cicely!!
It's a broad cast of characters, but I'm getting attached. Disappointed with Percy, but Felix shows real promise. And I really want a happy ending for Lady Beck! Her man needs to get a clue . . .
Hoping for good things for Kat and Penny, too!

A clever retelling so far. However (and this is a big "however"), I could relate better to a heroine who isn't The Best at everything she does . . . and, seriously, how many possible love interests does one oblivious girl who looks drop-dead-gorgeous in a naval uniform really need?

Yes, indeed, a classic case study in Mary Sue-ness.

But I'm still reading at this point. I love Nana!

I really liked this story at first, but the past few days I have to make myself pick it up, and I've been skimming a good bit.

So far, not terribly impressed . . . The Dragon character is flat and awful, and the heroine is flat and deliberately slow-on-the-uptake, though I can hardly blame her, since the guy is so insulting.
I'll keep going but probably will start skimming a bit.

I'm totally enjoying this story. It feels both familiar and original, with a great cast of characters and a richly atmospheric world. How can it possibly have a happy ending???? I'm very curious about the olcs.

Oops, when I write the status update on the wrong book!

THIS is one gorgeously written book that I would binge-read in a day if I could!! Gritty and painful at times, but it feels REAL. And very romantic.

This is seriously the weirdest book. It is a Tam Lin retelling, so I think I know what's going on, but still!
Beautifully written yet so . . . obscure. I can't say that I care much for any of the characters, yet I'm intrigued.

I haven't read McKillip in many years, and I'm starting to remember why . . . Gorgeous writing, nothing much happening, weird characters
Hmmm.

Wow, this book! So dark, so hopeless . . . so utterly fascinating!
I love Conrad and Ivan. Amazing characters.
What I need/want is a chunk of free hours to indulge in the Neverway . . .

Frustrated by how little pleasure-reading time I have right now, but I'm really enjoying this book. It builds slowly, giving background and history of the main characters, and developing mystery and drama. I'm eager to find out where this story is going!

Really enjoying this book! Such a clever twist on "The Glass Mountain." It's refreshing to read a book about a young married couple trying to figure out married life while under tremendous outside pressure. However, I am tempted to clock Ever one over the head right about now.
