This is going to be a DNF at 42% for me. I thought I had caught the rhythm of the prose and pretentiousness of the cast

Look I know I’ve been gifted a predisposition to be skeptical of this book by booktok and booksta at this point… but this line took my 35 year old ass a minute to discern and now my hackles are up. On page 5.
