Three plotlines running in parallel. West's, which is of very little interest, though I do like Dogman and co. Bayaz's cohort has had very memorable moments. Of course dan Glokta is the stand-out in terms of character though.

Three storylines in parallel at the moment in Part 4 "The Unravelling". Not sure how the series will extend to more books, but we'll see if it's worth continuing.

On the OE now, and introduced to characters. Enjoying it so far

Reading this after quite a while since reading Book 1 - really need to read a synopsis of Book 1, remember the main characters but not how they ended up where they are at the beginning of Book 2

Reading this after watching the first few episodes of the TV show - Part 1 effectively the 1st episode, with small changes.

Very interesting, but uncomfortable at times. I'm almost assuming there won't be a happy ending, waiting for another twist/double-crossing.

Very little Vera so far unfortunately. Only 1 Chapter left until we get to Vera's par though, so looking forward to it. Quite a bit different from the tv episode which is a pleasant surprise.

Enjoying this, would love a bit more of the "background" story but I'm not expecting a resolution there.

Finally getting used to the routine in each other's world and moving forward with respective training. Hoping some clarity is given on the purpose soon, and always hoping for more Design/Wit of course.

A couple of ropey, exposition-heavy chapters in the beginning but it's developing into a interesting story now.

First death of the book: Cyrus WIlkinson, a jazz saxophonist. Grant meets his "lover", Simone Fitzwilliam at Cyrus' address, then meets his fiancee outside waiting for Simone to leave. The vestigia is the song "Body & Soul", with the smell of wood and cement dust.

Kalidan becomes closer to the Watch, and starts to guess at how they are getting all of this food. Shallan is becoming more and more split between her personas while trying to get noticed by the Cult of Moments.

We've gone to Kholinar with Elhokar, Adolin, Kaladin, Shallan and some others. Seems a nice break from Urithiru with some mystery thrown in. The city is being interfered with by a cult, the spren are changed and no one can get close to the Queen. Kaladin is tasked with infiltrating the Watch, and Shallan/Veil with infiltrating the cult.

Reading on Kindle, Peter goes to visit a recovering Lesley whose face has been destroyed. He's contacted by Dr. Walid at the end of his visit.
