Ok, I'm not pleased with the beginning of this book for this sole reason: I paid $7.99 for this short 200+ page book, and the first 20% of it (the Prologue) is a repeat of this character's interlude chapter from Words of Radiance. So really, only 80% of this book is new content. Starting chapter 1...20% in. Here we go.

I am absolutely loving this book so far! It's one I can't seem to put down, and am reading any free time I get. The mixing of militaristic sci-fi elements with fantasy magic is such an awesome concept.

And we already ran into another situation of: super smart, powerful, omniscient AI Skippy didn't think of a solution that Joe Bishop was able to. Skippy of course rants "I hate my life! How was I outsmarted by a monkey!?"
I thought maybe we left this formula in the last novel. Guess we didn't.
