Just starting the novel, but this is a beautiful bit of imagery and needed kudos this very moment.

"It was a sunny February morning, and a stiff breeze blew off the East River, though Brooklyn was especially beautiful at this hour, when the slanting sunshine gave the brick facades a rosy hue and sparkled off each antique windowpane."

Loving it!

Hallucinating pieces of a video game you've been binging is not a foreign concept to me. I've done double takes before, and I've had times where I saw games when I closed my eyes, unable to stop my brain from being in the game after a day of playing.

Just like with Ready Player One, I love all the media references. So much of what I love crammed into one novel.
