The book is hard to read at first. It flows better later on.

The book doesn't flow.

At first the going back and forth between dates by chapter was confusing so i put this book in my yuck pile. After picking it up again and as it kept going (the chapters were continuous for a few ) it made more sense. Not the best flow, somewhat interesting on the subjects of cultures not having the same structural belief systems. I very much liked the war story from the side of humans not the fighters.
