I received this book from a Goodreads Giveaway. I’ll be honest, I would have never read it otherwise based off the back of the book, as it obviously has racial stuff in it and I am so over race being a topic in books. That being said, I enjoyed the book. There definitely was race as an issue but I loved how defined the two main characters were and how multiple points of view were always bantering off each other.

I enjoyed the story and how things came together at the end. I didn’t feel like there was any major drama that comes crashing down and the characters must recover from. Just an easy light summer story to read and get lost in.

Great book to get lost in while “sheltering in place” during COVID 19! Easy to read and great story to keep me sucked in!
