I'm really enjoying this. It's well written. I can't find a source within the book for this Steve Albini quote on p43 but knowing Steve Albini I could certainly hear him saying it:

"There have been several brief periods where different idiomatic elements of the underground , the legitimate music scene, have been brought to the surface and skimmed by the mainstream industry."

I'm going to have to pick up some fictitious account to read after all this non-fiction.
