Some of the prose comes across as mawkish in its own dirtbag way, but I liked this a lot. Good characters and engaging plot.

Already very pleasantly surprised at the focus on the failure of the Port Authority’s to properly fire-proof the building, and the lack of communication between FDNY and NYPD, rather than the typical sob stories
