This books is very badly written, but the stories are intriguing enough to keep reading.

If Everell doesn't propose to Hope I'm going to deduct a star from my review.

I can't believe Gov. Winthrop and his rules. I sure wouldn't want to live during colonial times.

Hmmm...three of the Whitechapel murder victims were only five feet tall.

The Kindle edition of "Kimberly and the Captives" (http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/88...) is free today, and I just about died laughing when I saw it. I don't know how Angela Hunt expects anyone to take her book seriously. I mean, a female character named Kimberly in 1627? That name would even be highly questionable on a boy, but on a girl it's ludicrous!

Nobody took any notice of Mrs. Wilkins. She was the kind of person who is not noticed at parties. Her clothes, infested by thrift, made her practically invisible; her face was non-arresting; her conversation was reluctant; she was shy. And if one's clothes and face and conversation are all negligible, thought Mrs. Wilkins, who recognized her disabilities, what, at parties, is there left of one?
