At 70% in the book I got the same damn feeling again. I’ve been duped. Every single thriller I read starts off so good and then toward the end it gets unbelievably stupid. I guess thrillers have to be outlandish to give thrill?? Idk
I was really enjoying this until a little over halfway when it began to get unbelievable. I will finish it because I’m too invested but I’m upset

Feels like it’s ramping up. Chapter 19 , Patricia knows what he is and is ready to get help to take him down. I’m in . Cue good 90s vampire killing song

Liking it so far however being 1/3 in, I feel like I’m waiting for the action to get going. There’s only been two scary parts and I feel like it’s dragging a bit right now. However I like the characters

Skenazy is pmo w/ some of the crap she writes. I don’t like the sarcasm and making fun type of writing. She talks about fictional rape jokingly and thinks no kids are ever kidnapped and taken into sex trafficking which does happen. feel like this book is silencing all of the bad things that DO happen. I understand she believes it’s very low risk but she’s acting like it’s impossible
