Initial thoughts: I like how this is set in the Middle East, it's refreshing to see familiar terms for once in a fantasy book. However I did some digging after seeing Prophet Sulaiman's name multiple times, and while I do appreciate the author's creativity for creating a whole world about djinns (whom we do believe exist among us) but writing about a prophet who is a clear figure in Islam – I'm not sure I like this

This feels a bit slow ngl. I'd understand why some people DNF this.

I can see how it's very different from the movie.
