Jill is 54% done with Bad Shepherds: The Dark Years in Which the Faithful Thrived While Bishops Did the Devil's Work

Halfway through and the best thing about this book is that it has led me to see that, as horrible as our current situation is in the Catholic Church, vis a vis McCarrick, et al, it has been SO SO SO much worse in past centuries. Thanks be to God that the leadership of the Church is only as bad as it is!
Now back to finish the rest of the book.....

There seems to be no end of ways of understanding and learning from the fall of man. Michuta shows that what Satan accomplished, step by step, was undone by Jesus and Mary, step by step, and without her, the perfect defeat of Satan would not have occurred. Defeat, yes. Perfect defeat, no. Eve was part of the fall; Mary had to be part of a perfect salvation.
