Basically drooling over the prose in this book. One of the great crime novels, and for very good reason.

I just love how old and disgruntled Geralt is getting in this book. Ack my knee! Ack my foster daughter is getting married to a jerk! Ack now I gotta kill some monsters? Oh hang on, the humans are worse! I'd just kill for a comfortable chair and a bath at Cair Morhen.

Geralt is such a whiny boi sometimes, I love him.

And so begins the madness to reach 52 books by the end of the year, where I read all the short, easy novels and comic books to make up for reading War and Peace and Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell.

Had to take a break, this book is like running a marathon and I have already reached my brick book capacity with War and Peace in 2019.

This book is so goooooood... How can I resist a novel that references Arsene Lupin, Peter Lorre and quantum physics?

I read the blurb for this at the bookstore yesterday and couldn't resist picking up a copy. What a challenging and fascinating book!

Started the first chapter today... so good.
