Mmm I thought this was an early series, but it was published in 2018. Half way through book 2: Not sure that I will finish it. Much extraneous description/ ridiculous multitasking which undermines the various scenarios. I’m at the stage where I’m reading a couple of sentences from each paragraph and really don’t need or want the rest. It feels like an inexperienced writer who hasn’t learned that less is more.

Loving the story. Very pleasantly surprised.

Ready for a holiday read but Magic Breaks is hardback only with no Kindle option so on with The Dresden Files.

Much faster read than I expected, but pretty bleak.

Only just catching up with this one for Carnegie 2014.

Read half this morning on the train to Brighton. Can't think of many 10-14 yr olds who I would recommend it too...
