Why did this book need to add cheating to it? It was a pretty decent book too 😭

I'm just,,, really tired of reading about emotional cheating and the characters thinking it's okay. I get that Juliet is just learning about polyamory and thinking it's so cool, but the women she's talking to are talking about how they *communicate* with their partners and Juliet is simply ignoring that and wants to get into a girl's pants even though she's already dating someone.

Okay scratch that. Both girls, Denna and Mare, are "not like other girls" and just hate women? Denna is annoyed that the ladies of the court are talking about other things besides Cas when I can personally attest to wanting to talk about literally anything other than death when I'm grieving.

Mare really is the type of girl that would say she's "not like other girls" 🙄

It seems like there's not really any homophobia in this world, but both main characters are kind of assuming everyone is straight? Okay then
