I don't want to jinx it, but so far this is my fave Tessa Dare book so far in general and in this series. Which is quite unpopular opinion since this one had the lowest rating compared to the other two books in the series. But it has a special place in my heart (again, so far). I hope the book will not let me down by the end.

I already knew the story of the radium girls, but reading this made my heart ache yet again for all the ladies and their families back then. I just wanted to cry and read and cry.

Less action scenes (so far) but still very interesting revelations and I love all of it.

I'm bored already. Too much monologue from the MC, it's annoying.
