Pretty ramble-y and pretentious, but interesting and fun at times. I don’t love that the book is a little bit of a catch-all with a flashy cover and vague title, but it’s a nice read for the summer when I can appreciate being outside and looking at plants in my neighborhood. So far, it’s a book that mentions the author’s strolls and cultural interests.

The author of the book is quite self-absorbed and out of touch. Not a lot of this book feels meaningful so far. There aren’t in-depth interviews she is writing about. It reads like a privileged, “wanderlust” woman’s journal or writings to a friend. Not hard-hitting reporting that I wrongly expected…
