Absolutely mind-boggling true story of survival. I am simply amazed.

I had been under the impression that this was a non-fiction work about another expedition hoping to find out what happened to Percy Fawcett. It turns out that it is a novel about a professor who himself is looking for the Lost City of Z. I'm about halfway through, giving it 3 of 5 stars so far.
