It's all going to end in tears, I just know it.

Loving me some psychoanalysis to help round out my characters (and, you know, judge people). Short concise chapters which nail the point quickly.

Vivid description of life in Alaska not long after the Vietnam war, but finding the story dragging a bit at the moment. We all know the dad is going to crack - just shoot him already! I know you know how!

Enjoying the bite-size summaries of the routines, eccentric habits, and daily rituals of famous artists. I like to read one or two as a motivational start to the day.

A real literary work, written in a unique voice. Story is compelling and unpredictable but I have too admit that it's a bit heavy-going (not feeling hopeful about the ending and pretty sure it'll be sad) so I keep getting distracted by more exciting/happy-ending-promising stories.

Totally hooked. Characters are awesome, description is rich and makes me want to eat figs and lie around on jewel-toned cushions, and the balance of mystery and backstory/explanation is so perfect I want to murder the Author and pass off her work as my own.

Loving this so far - I'm taking notes and mind mapping and outlining my WIP as I go. Have been looking for an outlining method that makes sense to my brain and this is making SO. Much. Sense. (To the point that I had to overcome my dislike of staccato full stops to get this across.)
