Out of all the books I’ve read for my creative writing program, this is the most practical and effective. Which is ironic, since I primarily write fiction.

I'm enjoying this more than I expected. Having taught Celtic mythology definitely aids in that enjoyment as the faeries of irish myths have always captured my interest.

Started slow but then a hot guy showed up so naturally my interest piqued. (Why am I like this)

I am no stranger to swearing, but it does feel like the f word is on every other page. (Still not as bad as fourth wing..)

This book is a pure delight

The world building is all over the place, but maybe that’s because I only read the first Caraval book?

St. John is the Victorian version of mainsplainer

Rochester is the OG morally grey male love interest. So toxic, and yet I root for him with Jane.

Nathaniel is one of the most hysterical male characters I’ve ever read.

The worldbuilding is awesome so far, but the writing style feels very modern and YA. Maybe I won't care the further I read.

My husband insists that this book picks up and ends incredibly, but right now I’m crawling through it.

Can’t believe I’ve waited this long to read this classic

Each of the main characters are so frustrating but I’m still reading, so that shows that the story is engaging enough.
