as much as i love this series it has put me in a bit of a reading slump as i don’t usually read fantasy books & i find it hard to picture what’s going on bc i don’t know what i’m looking at if you know what i mean lol but i’m going to force myself to read more!

i love it so muchhhhh i don’t want it to end 😭

i’m so obsessed i genuinely can’t stop reading but it’s 2am and i need to sleep :(

getting slightly better now, i just feel not a lot has happened & i’m 200+ pages in. its gotten me in such a reading slump

idk if it feels too young/YA for me like i’m enjoying it kinda but at the moment it’s not really going anywhere & it isn’t like making me wanna read if you get me. it’s gotten me into a bit of a reading slump :/ i have a lot of other books i’d rather be reading rn but i hate not finishing books

i bought this book a while ago & picked it up yesterday & read the blurb & thought “why did i buy this”😭 it reads slightly like fanfic & is a little cringe but i’m gonna continue lol

haven’t read in a while but once i start it’s so hard to put it down. i’m fighting the urge to stay up & finish it but i’m also tired lol

i haven’t been this instantly obsessed with a book in so long. was literally hooked from the first page & couldn’t put it down

it’s finally getting good!!!

i’m enjoying it but i’m enjoying the flashbacks to frances’ youth more than the present day storyline. i like the premise of it but the main character makes me cringe a little, or maybe it’s the writing style in general. the dialogue just seems a bit too literal like some things can be implied or mentioned as a characters thought, not out loud. like it’s not necessary to say. idk if that makes sense

i do love emily henry’s books & her characters always feel so fleshed out & loveable but the plot is just a bit bland? & predictable?

why is every woman in every romance book/film either a journalist or a writer?? i am a walking cliche. i’m not complaining bc i enjoy it & this has already made me want to become a travel journalist

i never really considered that something could have caused cadence’s amnesia like a traumatic event. i just assumed she’d hit her head & that’s what caused it. i wanted to keep reading to find out but i need to sleep :(

gonna keep reading but i’m still unsure. cadence’s character kind of unlikeable because of how naive she is but i guess that’s what you get for reading a book from the perspective of a 17yo. maybe i would’ve liked this more when i read it when i was younger but right now i find her annoying

this book is already like a lot. they introduce you to about 20 characters within the first few pages. i’d rather learn about the characters gradually throughout the story not just all at once but the family tree & the map helps. it’s a bit cringe & pretentious already just the way this 17 year old rich kid talks about life so dramatically. i’m gonna keep reading but it’s a struggle rn tbh lol
