Found and started while browsing at the Montague Bookmill today! I <3 used bookstores

Reading this makes the adaptation make even less sense

Of course Brit drives a Kia

Ok yeah, Brit would go to Smith /pos

Oh NOOO PLEASE DON’T DO THAT!!

OMG Mount Holyoke mention!!!

it’s giving “The Ones Who Walk Away from Omelas”!

SCREAMING

i’m obsessed with their dynamic

it had to be done

rereading for a class - I think I’m liking it more this time

let’s gooooo

“what’s this book about?” couldn’t tell you. i’m trying to find out myself. (someone pls tell me the third part magically ties everything together?)

i am having a Thought and i can’t think of anyone to share it with?!??!?! AJSKDHWOQKW

i’m gonna need something disgustingly fluffy after this. god.

that part will always ruin me

“it’s hard to hate them because they’re such idiots” (paraphrased bc on audio) is such a killer line

ohmygod why is this so boring!!

i can’t get over how BAD their names are

this series from Annabeth’s pov would end me tbh

can you tell I did some browsing at an indie bookstore lol

CC writing the Ashkar is so obnoxious. This isn’t taking “inspiration” from Jewish tradition, it’s just lazy substitution, sorry lol. Like it’s fine if she’d been upfront about it being an allegory or smth, but she’s claiming it’s a “broad reference,” without adding literally anything of her own

watched a 45 min recap of book 1 and am /still/ struggling bUT I refuse to reread it because (LIKE THIS BOOK) it’s over 20 hours on audio

it’s always kinda crazy when you come across a 1 star review on this app and the reviewer, who says they DNF’d after a couple pages, complains that an issue was not explored. like, bestie. you read FIFTEEN PAGES.

oh my fucking god STOP crying about how no one understands if when they ask you outright you blow them off! repeatedly! with every point of conflict!

the fact that this is STILL SO ADDICTING even though I’ve already read this before and know exactly what’s gonna happen (nothing much tbh) is so ridiculously impressive.

Oh I forgot how much I hate Matts at the start lol

not the hummus slander
