Super helpful book so far!

I'm halfway through this, and am honestly thinking of just being done. I'm no longer gripped by the story, mostly because now it feels like a retelling of Grapes of Wrath without the same draw/absorbing writing. Does it get better in the end?!

Boy this is good! And now I'm scrolling through IG seeing examples of everything...

This book is not what I expected, but so far enjoying! I wish I read more Victorian novels so I could appreciate all the layers and jokes, but I'm still able to catch and enjoy some (the Darcys ha!)

Lots of chuckling so far and one huge laugh that made my kids ask what was so funny. 😁

I've been slow getting time to read lately with school prep, but I'm finally starting to get deeper into the story, and I'm intrigued!

I know nothing about this book, but picked it up at the library because they didn't have the recommended boom by the same author available. We'll see how it goes!

Just finished the introduction and fan-girling over Charlotte Bronte even more than I have before. I love KSP's thoughts.

Am I really not getting anything out of this book if while trying to read I have to continually ask my children and husband, "what did you say?" like I did this weekend while camping? Ha!! But regardless of my interruptions that prove my folly, I'm enjoying it so far.

Ok, I lied. I'm not taking a break. I have some cleaning projects, and I just love having a fun story to listen to, so I guess that means I'm going to keep going onward with the Mysterious Benedict Society!

Ok the ties to Jane Eyre are getting me quite excited here :)

Still a lot of fun, but so far I've been a bit more distracted while listening. I will say, I'm definitely here for the storylines of Kate and Milligan though!
