The scene where Mr. Tilney is recounting what MAY happen at the abbey, like looking through the drawers and finding secret entrances had me giggling. And then Catherine's fearful searching, and the candle going out! Hilarious. And the poor thing was thinking about the horses and the carriages instead of the landscape because the poor thing has been subjected to Mr. Thorpe. I hate the man!

LOL this book is absolutely hilarious. I hate John Thorpe with a BURNING PASSION.

Catherine is so funny! She reminds me of Anne Shirley in a lot of ways. I wonder if Northanger Abby inspired Montgomery at all.
