Aliena has to marry Alfred - Ellen helps Jack escape the monastery and he goes to see her and tries to convince her not to - they have sex and she says she can’t abort the wedding because of Richard - Jack tried to convince Alfred not to wed either, but he wants to out of spite to Jack so Jack leaves Kingsbridge

During wedding, Ellen curses them and then the wedding night is awful - Alfred is abusive already

Aliena is destitute & resolves herself to move forward and marry Alfred. Jack is heartbroken again to hear that

Aliena has a thriving wool business now

William Hanleigh attacks Kingsbridge setting fire to all the houses and Aliena‘s storehouse of Wool

Tom Builder is killed in the melee by a horse - Jack finds his body and praise over him, thanking him for giving him purpose after all

William Hanleigh pillages/ kills / rapes - kills quarry workers and tries to disrupt progress in Kingsbridge cathedral building process for Phillip

Phillip goes to Lincoln to appeal to the King for help

Hundreds of people arrive to help with the construction of the Cathedral as Bishop Henry is coming to inspect whether Philip can pull this effort off

Bishop Henry validates Tom’s work and his sketches and asks God to bless their efforts

They stop at an empty lot w/ a hole in the ground which Lori tells her was her house where she grew up and her mother before that - they go further down the road and arrive a school where all the kids are speaking French - Lori says she won't tell her what to do again besides she is going to this school and is going to learn about their family

Lori & Shawn have a baby girl and live in Boston - they divorce and Evangeline likes her dad's house better (nicer)

Lori & Evangeline fight about speaking English vs French (Evangeline doesnt want to speak French anymore). Eventually, Lori packs up their stuff and they head back to Maine - to Waterville and she notices all the trees are short and young.

Rita shows up at Babs - Babs is sitting there w/ a shotgun waiting on the gang to come try to kill her as fire approaches - she shows Rita she has rigged dynamite on a deadman's switch in the house too

Babs apologizes for being like she is, Rita apologizes for not saving her from Sacha and setting their lives on different path (but she doesn't tell about Sis) - they hear a noise in basement and get their guns ready

Philip goes with Waleran to see King Stephen about money for the church building - there is thought he will give them Barthomew’s earldom land to help finance it, but then he tells them he may have promised it to the Hamleigh’s already - will potentially reconsider and let them know

Babs is trying to raise money for French school - St John’s and some lady accuses her of having white privilege and why does she need any money - Babs explains her past and the persecution as a French person and says “whatever sins go along with being white, don’t pin them on me - I’ve been running from white people my whole life, like most everyone on the planet.”

Tom engaged to rebuild the cathedral - told Philip he could do it in 2wks

Jack sets fire to the Kingsbridge cathedral in middle of night hoping it will cause the Prior to hire Tom to help rebuild it

Tom finds work with Earl Bartholomew, but they get attacked and defeated for his conspiracy so now Tom and family will head to Kingsbridge

Babs meets the Man at the abandoned Mill - his boss sells heroin and wants Babs to stop selling pills because it’s hurting his business

Lori finds Sis body in a junkyard in her burned out car - attacks the meth dealer Rex’s house

Philip goes to Kingsbridge to tell of the rebellion against lot he has been told about by his brother - discovers that the Prior who has let the area fall into disrepair and undisciplined life has died

Babs sends daughter Lori (former Marine) to enforce on cousin Tim who had robbed a pharmacy - always in trouble - cops tell Babs no more free passes for Tim

Sis (Lori’s sister) is missing and hasn’t responded to texts - her son Jason is with Babs because his dad beat him

Tom’s wife Agnes dies in childbirth - he is left with his son & daughter. He leaves the baby in Agnes’ grave but turn around to get him, but baby is gone.

Ellen (outlaw from the woods) tells him monks took the baby boy with them

Jim 3rd trial is mistrial because one lady refuses to change her vote, then 4th trial he is found not guilty.

Minerva keeps up her act, but trying to get Danny Hansford’s spirit from messing with Jim she says

January 1990, Jim dies one morning of heart attack in the study behind his desk at age of 59

Jim keeps getting convicted and then eventually appeal gets it overturned - the 2nd conviction by the Ga Supreme Court by 4-3 vote (barely)

He has spent over 500k and claims help from Minerva the voodoo lady

Jim Williams shot Danny Hansford - he says in self defense, allowed out on bond, even allowed to travel to Europe on buying trips

Townspeople think they were lovers - Danny was male prostitute

Danny Hansford working for Jim Williams at Mercer House tries to impress Corinne at the house and Tybee Island, get drunk & have sex - he wants someone to love him

He hits her because she won’t agree to marry him (I’ve known you 3hrs), then gets pulled over by a cop and she doesn’t see him again
