The first third is excellent. The future part is confusing with 2D characters. And the pacing is too slow. It reads like a poorly written young adult novel. I hope it gets better.

Page 100 DNF. Ambrose’s writing is abysmal and too much of a chore for me to follow. His lack of focus and “back and forth” narrative is irritating and lacks focus. I’d rather spend my time reading something enjoyable. I guess I’ll just have to watch the HBO series on this one.
