I love the characters and the storyline. The description of Mr. Whittles was priceless! I think the writing style however, is pretty awful though. Is the author just really good at depicting a simple-minded teenager (not that they're all that way) or is she just. . . bad at writing. I think the main difficulty is that it's written in first person, which sounds like a third-grader wrote it: I did this, I saw this etc.

Gee, I hope this picks up!! I am so bored!

I started this book on Wednesday and I'm already 1/3 done. is that because it's a page turner? I wouldn't say that. it's because The Goose Girl whet my appetite for something that I am now hungry for. Unfortunately my hopes aren't high that this book will be as good as the last, but there's still time.
