Nancy is on page 300 of 562 of Shake Hands with the Devil: The Failure of Humanity in Rwanda
This is a difficult read, for many reasons. Clearly, because of the atrocity of the entire situation, and the absolute lack of caring by the global community. It's written like how I'd imagine Romeo Dallaire's war dairies would have been written. It is from the perspective of him as a solider/military personnel, that documented every day meetings, and situations. It's more technical than I was expecting.

These first 8 chapters can be difficult to read for the amount of acronyms used, and the technical language of a deployment mission.
But it is also filled with a lot of head smack reactions to the amount of road blocks that Dallaire faced in this UN mission.

But, I kinda don't want to get to the non technical part, because I don't think I am going to be able to handle what is coming next...

Keep steady, I told myself. Dont share too much about yourself, it will be used against you. Listen carefully. Save all clues. Don't show fear.

Nancy is on page 75 of 252 of The Dubrow Diet: Interval Eating to Lose Weight and Feel Ageless
Really basic, long drawn out way of saying something simple. Not a fan of the way this book is written (like casual banter between a husband and wife).
I think intermittent fasting deserves a more scientific concise way of saying something. Wish I had just read a position paper on this. But I'll finish the book while I work through the diet plan.

Pretty much, every other page I exasperate: "Oh my god" how one person lives through this....

Wab has a fascinating story, and a complex relationship with his family, particularly his father that we can all relate to. I really admire his strength, and resiliency. But also his gratitude for all he has accomplished and him giving gratitude to the people on his journey that took him through that path.

So far so good. I am travelling to Paris and reading this on the way. I can for sure see all of these little nuisances unfolding during my visit. Having been before, I have enough background knowledge to chuckle at the side comments and I live the subtle digs on American culture.
Really, a lot of these things apply to moving to any foreign country. I can draw similarities to my temporary relocation to Beijing :)
