So far, this book is even more charming than anticipated. I love the way some chapters are written into a screen play-- I love that all the characters understand immediately what it means for this man to be turning into a shark, and I think I'm in for a devastating and lovely story-- maybe even a hopeful one?

I am thoroughly enjoying this book-- I'm just over halfway through and am already mourning it's being finished.

I'm loving the hodgepodge of characters, the uncertainty about where they're going and what they're doing, and the nonchalant *why not, we're likely going to die anyway* attitude of the story. I find myself laughing out loud, even in the midst of the especially dark call to adventure

This book, like the first volume, is starting off slowly. It'll definitely take a while to get through it-- I'm glad to be reading a few other things at the same time.
I have pretty high expectations, as I know many have favorited v2.
There are moments, even this early on, that have made me cackle or scoff out loud! So, hoorah!
