So far it is curing my reading slump I have had so far this year.

Definitely had the thought when is the murder going to happen only to remind myself "No Lauren! This is a romance not a mystery. There will not be any murder."

I told my nephew I would read The Dogman books so we can discuss them. There are 13 books...let's see how much of this I can handle in a weekend...

We will see how this goes. I haven't like other books by this author but I want to like them if that makes any sense. Maybe this I will like it...also the 1920's seem to be where I am stuck book wise for the next couple of reads. They all seem to come off my holds list at once...

I chose to read this as a comfy read but of course it starts with Jim Henson's funeral. I'm not crying you're crying...

Literally obsessed! Why does this need to be a duology not a trilogy. Or even more. I am obsessed with this world.

After the gore bath that was Bless Your Heart, I needed an old favorite to refresh the reading palette.

When your best friend of over 20 years tells you to read a book because the characters remind her of us...you read the book as soon as the library can fill the hold.

...Because if when reading a sad horror book, one must always have a fluffy heartwarming one to keep the nightmares away...

Covid quarantine is going to do wonders for my books to read pile. Silver linings are essential.

I am soooo close to my goal. Time to fly through one of my creepiest kids series I have read in a while to get me to my 100. Lame? Maybe. But that is fine by me. I have way too many books on my tonread shelf before they all go back to the library.

I am pretty sure I have figured this book out and know exactly how it is going to end. I am a bit disappointed. Here's to hoping for twists and turns along the way.

It is badly written and often groan-worthy but that isn't to say I hate it. I wanted more evil magic plotting and less awful romance novel.

These books make me roll my eyes a lot but I still feel the need to read them because they make me think. **sigh** maybe I will hate this one enough to stop reading.

So far I kinda hate all the characters. Here's to the hope of character development...

“They don’t do it on purpose,” said Merlin. He opened the door. “But quite often they discover the key to raise some ancient myth, or release something that should have stayed imprisoned, and they share that knowledge via their writing. Stories aren’t always merely stories, you know. Come on.”

This is adorable. I definitely remember why I was obsessed with Garth Nix in high school. It seems to be the perfect palate cleanser after a meh book.

I came for mystery and ghosts and so far have mostly gotten sexual frustration and angst.

Slowly but surely making my way through. Not because the story isn't fantastic. I just can't get past some of the themes that are just too applicable to today's society.
