Why is nobody else reading this? It's great!

I'm enjoying this Windy Adventures book so far. It has characters I want to know more about, nice pacing, and doesn't lean heavily on tropes.

I'm listening to the audio book version. While I enjoy the book itself, I don't like the voice of the reader. It's read by Katherine Kellgren, and she sounds like a strict headmistress who is displeased with you and everything you've ever done. Maybe that suits the book, but it doesn't suit my poor ears.

Believe it or not, it's my first time revisiting the series.

Very detailed. Idk how realistic the boarding school characters and their behavior are, but it's an interesting read so far.

It appears that many reviewers feel let down by this book, and some quit around the halfway mark. I'm quite enjoying it, though! It's clever and interesting, to me, at least.

Pretty interesting so far!

Halfway through this book finally picks up speed. The author is a worldcrafter and a wordsmith. She has a massive vocabulary, and invents words as well, so it's a little challenging at times, even though I've a large vocabulary myself. Fortunately I'm reading on a Kindle Voyage, so I can quickly look up unfamiliar words.

I think I read this before, but it was at least 15 years ago-before I started keeping track of the books I've read.

Quite good so far! I like the author's style. Plenty of action, intriguing plot, and the characters are interesting and believable.

(Idk actual page or percentage because I'm listening to the audiobook version.) IDaire just went from being a conceited bitch to sweetness and light. She went from pigheaded, mistrusting, and secretive to cooperative, trusting, and confiding, all because of a strange encounter and an accident. I'm not buying it. I'm sick of Daire; I'm sick of this book. I quit, at least for now.

I really hope this girl undergoes a complete transformation. She's a complete bitch. She looks down on everybody, thinks herself better than everyone. I'm only at part where she is waiting for the bus to Albuquerque. But any town with a bus to Albuquerque every two hours is not going to be as small and barren as described. I'm very close to giving up on this trash, but I don't do that. Ever.

It's okay, but Daire's stubborn desire to argue, overreact and always imagine the worst possible scenarios is great...if you think soap operas are great.

Excellent so far! A lot of mysteries going on. Will be interesting to see how they connect and reveal themselves.

Very good so far, but Rose needs to do something soon. She hasn't accomplished much, other than spying on Lissa and delivering the news of Dimitri's demise.
