Going to DNF, I sadly cannot get interested in this.

This book is so weird. I’m enjoying it because it reads like what a sane person probably thinks a crazy person sounds like, just magnified. But Niall and Brooklyn’s inner monologue sound too similar to me.

Drink from your sweet petals? So cringey.

I just keep trying but I’m so bored 😑

It is disgustingly infuriating to hear these characters spit out how they smell to each other. I know authors get stuck on the scent thing, but the way they say the scents to each other pulls away from the story so much.

Into this book. There is a lot of filler. Unnecessary words that make this book so long. Mediocre. To the point of almost being intolerable. I’m trying to look at it as, this is the authors first book, written from the viewpoint of a language that is not my own, but, editors should have caught so many of these errors. I’m finding the easiest way to get through it is to skim through each page.

Alert the press! An ACTUAL plus size human in this one folks! No size 10, not even a size 12… not even *gasp* the notorious size SIXTEEN. We have an actual size 18 wearing human female in this one and I am HERE FOR IT. Way to Represent the real curvaceous humans author!

I feel like this entire issue could be cleared up if they’d just agree for Connor fixed up the mansion and then sell it to Antoine for an exuberant amount

This reads like a weird fantasy of having a stalker. Cringe fest.

Is it just me or is Nikolai a completely different character from previous stories? Come to think of it, I can say this about all of the characters Bardugo has written. I had such high hopes for my favorite Bardugo character but now I’m just sad for them all.

I’m 67% in and so bored. The anguish! My favorite series ever and I am ready to throw the book across the room. *cries*

It’s been five years since I read the previous books. Let’s see if I can get back into this world.

Everyone seems to love Schwab but I just can’t seem to get through Schwabs books without having to skim large portions of the monotonous verbiage and meaningless events. I understand that books need ‘filler’ but why does it have to be things that lend almost nothing to the outcome of the story to the point that I am skimming to get through to the point of wanting to DNF the entire thing ugh

The correlation at the moment Thyon takes Strange’s books, how he is quite literally stealing his dreams from him, leaving an empty, hollow feeling, & how our dreams are/can be stolen from us is quite painful for me personally.

This book is perfect if you like f××k boys, oops I mean 'strong Ralph's brothers caught in a love triangle with the girl next door all because they have sibling rivalry... and a 'strong woman' who is nothing but a weak a$$ play thing with a father who talks in riddles to enhance 'the mystery'. Its almost as bad as this run on sentence. Oh and a 'mystery' that's ridiculously overexagerated and pointless.

Just noting some irritations that could’ve been caught by an editor. Than when it should be then. The MC telling her mom she’ll see her NEXT weekend over the phone and then as the story progresses she actually sees her the next day, not the next weekend.

Lan is allowing herself to fall in love with, and even worse, emotionally she is giving herself to Azreal bit by bit so that this can not end well for her. For all she feels, Azreal has time and time again shown that he will not budge emotionally, will not give any part of himself to her or meet her request. I feel Lan will be completely broken by this unfeeling creature in the end & at no one’s fault but her own.

I'm a bit confused how they are several months behind on rent for their business but the mc owns an entire building and three floors for personal use....

I’ve been eyeing this book for a couple years now. Finally got my hands on a copy so I’m taking a break from reading the Anne of Green Gables series to delve into this.

I care nothing for any of the characters. There is no mystery, there are no clues, just the knowledge that they will all die, and most likely die in a way that a poem they’ve all heard from childhood says. The book is heavily dialogue driven. In all honesty I’m quite bored.

I lost this book which is why I haven’t finished it yet. Hoping to find it soon!
