Yeesh, the first 22% of this book is introduction and exposition!

Cool story but not really connecting with the characters.

Bored a piece.

The 1st 20% of the book is info-dump on what the gang has been up to for 3 years. Nearly all of it is just teen drama. Same old tropes, tech, science, and law errors as the first book. Same old 80s schtick that we've come to love but without plot originality. The villain doesn't appear until about a third of the way in and the plot holes are sizable. Hoping the magic come on before the end.

Yeah this is definitely the right book to read right now

Disappointed. Half done and we're nowhere. Apparently now ST no longer takes place in an utopian society, and swear words are edgy and cool. I guess a peaceful future is too hard to write anymore. Also the science doesn't jive with the science used before. World building requires consistency, fans notice the absence.

The plot holes are strong with this one

Ugh 2 stars if I'm lucky.

1 star so far, Brigadoon did it better.
