I am definitely entering my PANIC! YOU’RE GRADUATING era, which has resulted in my checking out way too many books at my academic library.

1/1/26 First book of the year: _Extremely Yours_by Susanna Childress!

I have no good words for this beautiful, brilliant book; she has said everything, all of it, and more. She leaves me with open doors that lead me to love and hope and awe.

I can’t mark this book down on goodreads yet but in the meantime buy a copy, read a copy, tell a friend.

I vowed to read fiction, but I was handed this. I know myself well enough to know nonfiction always takes priority.

I’ve been reading this 8 hours a day for three days. I’m taking a few days off until my copy arrives

Didn’t want to bog down the review so I’m just writing here. I loved reading Tom Lake more the second time! I caught more plot points and read it in the right circumstances. This is also the perfect book about omission (as a writer and storyteller).

Are you telling me I get paid to read this!? There are four parts and I am going to read one each day.

I was about to force myself to read Zadie Smith, but I decided I should read something I actually liked. I’ve served my time with the last three.

I spent two delightful hours in the Hodges Figgis bookstore. It was a dream come true. I am still dreaming of it.

During the summer, I was on a fiction kick, but now that it’s winter, I’m in a non-fiction/research for writing mode.

When I’m stressed, I come back to this book. It puts me in a great mood plus I read it every year and that in itself is a happy thing.

Sometimes, I’m tempted to read Emily Henry just for the opportunity to write a scathing review. However, I will spare you my opinions

I read 20 pages of Paper Names and quit because of the writing. Creative Writing class makes a person picky 🤷🏻‍♀️

I’ve been doing alright without the yearly reading challenge but sometimes I really want to join.

I am crying because this book is blowing my mind. Also I love the addition of Aristotle and Tocqueville! Sorry for the nerd out moment

There are too many books I want to read while I have access to an academic library, yet there is no time. This is a sad reality.
