Do I want to justify myself for not having read that many books this year? Sure! I started about a dozen and got nowhere with them. I've been a little nuts and my concentration has gone to hell, so there you go, I've been watching anime (me?!) and chewing on a few books that are difficult enough to be engaging but gentle (i.e. nonintense) enough that they don't set off the ol' mental fight-or-flight dingaling. heh.
