Really enjoying the anxiety representation in this book! Loved Abby’s first installment in this little series she’s doing, and loving this one as well. Very simple, fluffy, and cute.

Definitely has picked up and gotten better. Just in the biggest book slump so I feel like this is dragging. I would not make it without the audiobook. However, overall very built and dynamic read so far. Genius. SJM never misses.

I’m scared. This is starting out extremely slow, and SJM is doing her chapter switching bs that she started in HOF.

Omg if the book keeps its pace for the last half then I can totally see myself giving this book a five stars! Which says a lot because the first was a 3 star rating in my opinion. LOVING IT.

I want to keep reading, but man this book is pissing me off lol. Not bc it’s bad, just the contents of the story. Whew.

I’m actually really enjoying this so far.

Why am I loving this? Because I am.

The first 50 pages were okay, but not something I would pick up if it wasn’t for the hype. I’m nearly half way through now though, and I’m really liking it. It took about 150 pages for me to be like okayyyyy this is goooood. A little slow start, but it’s going well.

Right now I am looking at rating this 3.75 Stars maybe, idk. I don’t think it is quite a 4 Star, but rating it 3 Stars seems really harsh. I’m enjoying it for the most part though; however, it doesn’t feel fully developed imo. 100 pages left!

Soooo this isn’t terrible lol. I would say I expect it to be a solid 3/4 star as of right now. Definitely not going to be a 5 star book, but I didn’t really expect it to be. I am enjoying it though, really curious to see how the rest of the book plays out. The characters are very dynamic which I love, and have obvious flaws. It’s also refreshing to read of a FMC who isn’t like a puppy. Going good so far.

I seriously hope this lives up to the hype 😩

I’m really enjoying this! If you have finished Empire of Storms and dread starting this, just dive into it. I genuinely don’t understand why a lot of people hate it thus far.

Finally starting this one! The first 50 pages were a drag but now I’m prioritizing this book over playing the sims (a huge W).

Gah man, this is absolutely so hard to finish.

I just…I am really trying to trust the process here, but I am genuinely surprised so far with how high people rate this books.

I am about a third of the way through, and I anticipate this being a 2.5/3.0 read. It isn’t bad, but I feel “meh” about it. I wouldn’t necessarily recommend it but I wouldn’t tell someone not to read it.

I am listening to the audiobook so that can possibly alter my thoughts (I prefer physical books). I listened to 3 straight hours of it just now though while studying so…not too bad.

I plan on starting this today. For some reason, I dread reading this book, almost the same as I dread reading Kingdom of Ash. After Empire of Storms, I just need a mental break to recooperate and prepare myself for these last two books in the series. I feel like I am forcing myself to go into this, so I may decide not to pick it up.

Holy shit I can not put this down! It is so good and everything is being tied together beautifully.

I forgot what page I am on but I’m a little past half way, and omggggg. The love interest better stay like it is the rest of the series!!! Sarah J. Mass is so amazing.

I’m struggling to even have interest in this one. I’ve only read the first chapter, the the third POV is throwing me off—I can’t even tell who the main character is.

I am not sure how far I am into this book, so I just guessed. I am really not liking the switched POVs, especially of the witch. It would be an easy 5 Star if the whole POV is in Celeana's POV. I don't mind the POV of Chaol and Dorian, but the witch chapters are dreadful and really make me want to DNF the book. That was my problem when I started this series before and didn't finish when I got to this book.
