ARC: How is this only page 172 and 2 or 3 big moments have already happened? Not even halfway through and this section feels like a climax.

Just finished part 1 and I’m still digging this a lot! Very cool worldbuilding and Sancia is a riot. I’m continually intrigued to see where the story is going.

So far I'm not exactly surprised by this book's narrative, but it's much more detail than I knew beforehand.

Pyrre was one of the best parts of Unhewn Throne so it's a relief that this solo backstory tale is as good as it is. It's better written than the trilogy too. It's good to know she wasn't always the way she appeared years later, and doubly interesting to see where she picked up some of her personality. I think I can see where this is going, and if borne out, makes it all the better.

Somebody definitely likes Dune. And that's a good thing for me.

Oh lol this is a brilliant plan, Moog. I did not see this coming at all and it's totally brilliant. And I'm not talking about Plan B.

Continues to entertain. Not much else to say!

I'm...not sure about this. The story is not grabbing me and the brutality of every single interaction makes it rough to enjoy. The main character agendas are also way too obfuscated to be compelling. Why should I care about these people? Are they even good?

This is really fun so far. It's definitely DnD centric but in a non-cheesy way that captures the feel of dungeon adventures but builds a new world around it.
