I'm not feeling this the way I felt Book 2 :/

Okay, I'm very glad I persevered with this.

Oh I was SO looking forward to this book but the dreaded forced Scottish dialect is rearing its ugly head.

I'm going to try and percevere but as I've said before, I can't read romances with a Scottish hero/heroine without their speech sounding like a caricature.

...why is there more banter and chemistry between Violet and Tairn than there is between her and Xaden right now? It's not THAT kind of book...unfortunately.

Really wish this author would stop saying the phrase "for the win" in this supposed High Fantasy...

I'm starting to suspect this book was originally a fanfic...yikes.

The sheer number of characters I'm being forced to keep up with who all have really similar and generic names should be a crime tbh

I've been really enjoying this but I hit the halfway mark and now it feels like a completely different book. It's like a switch got flipped cause Harrison is suddenly The Worst and I just know this is gonna drag for the last half. Help!

This is cute but it's starting to drag...

I've not had such a personal reaction to a book since The Kiss Quotient, I don't know how I'm going to make it to the end in one piece. I'm only on chapter 2 and have lost count of how many times a line has hit me and made me tear up because I GET these characters.
