Why build Leon and Claire up so much in the last book to try and build out some sort of romance with Steve? Claire spent most of the book treating him like an annoying little brother and now I have to endure THIS? The kid tried to kiss her in her sleep LEAVE HER ALONE

Okay, I'm very glad I persevered with this.

Oh I was SO looking forward to this book but the dreaded forced Scottish dialect is rearing its ugly head.

I'm going to try and percevere but as I've said before, I can't read romances with a Scottish hero/heroine without their speech sounding like a caricature.

...why is there more banter and chemistry between Violet and Tairn than there is between her and Xaden right now? It's not THAT kind of book...unfortunately.

Really wish this author would stop saying the phrase "for the win" in this supposed High Fantasy...

The sheer number of characters I'm being forced to keep up with who all have really similar and generic names should be a crime tbh

I've been really enjoying this but I hit the halfway mark and now it feels like a completely different book. It's like a switch got flipped cause Harrison is suddenly The Worst and I just know this is gonna drag for the last half. Help!
