So cozy, and a very easy read. A perfect palette cleanser so far.

I finished part 1 in a day, finding myself totally immersed in Addie’s world, feeling her challenges deeply. Such melancholy!!

It’s not quite resonating with me yet, but I can see this book appealing to purely science-minded folks.

Like Stories of Your Life and Others, the opening short story of this book has me in awe and leaves me wanting more.

Heather is on page 40 of 528 of Nature and the Human Soul: Cultivating Wholeness and Community in a Fragmented World
“If your soul is your ultimate place in the world and you need to live from that place to be fully yourself, then the world cannot be fully itself until you become fully yourself”

😭😭😭😭😭

The author defines soul and ultimate place much differently than traditional textbook definitions. Very palatable for any atheists out there!

I’m enjoying this so far, although I don’t quite feel like the target audience for it. It’s from 2011, so it’s interesting to hear her perspective and reflect on how we have evolved in the games industry since then.
