Ash was so much better with everything related to the kids.

I knew this was coming because I read Ash’s book but holy fuck this has to be one of the most irresponsible things I have read.

Leaving a 15 years old in charge of a 13, a 11 and two 9 years old without telling them where you are going, not being reachable and not letting Ash know is so fucking stupid (and selfish).

I had much higher expectations for this book considering the rating. Think I will keep going for now tho

The way his plans for Faolán changed after he met Aaron and how their relationship works is all Lewis and Aaron.

(I’m seriously afraid the big conflict in this book will be Lewis finding out Aaron writes Leeches fic and freaking out. Please no.)

I have been on 59% for like a week now and started this book 20 days ago

The start was so full of action, constant developments that I’m having a hard time getting through the slower middle part...

High expectations.

But just the extras — the art, the glossary, the character lista and worldbuilding explanation — are superb.

Last time I read this author it took more than half of the book for me to care about the characters and it was a standalone. This is a series so I can’t imagine how long it will take.

I guess I just don’t enjoy how se writes characters which is a pity because the storylines always seem really cool...
