A fascinating historical fiction about native Indian’s land taken from families leaving young children to fend for themselves. Heartbreaking that these crimes happened for so long even while early on, one brave lady fought to help. The audio book is excellent with characters so believable!

Story drags but I will continue in between other books.

This story is so unbearably sad, I’m not sure I want to continue. So devastating how these children were treated! Why were the families so mean to them? Such unhappiness from everyone.

I’m not liking the book or the characters. I’m turned off by the use of the f word from every single character. Somewhat slow moving.
