Doug is starting Geological Evolution of the Colorado Plateau of Eastern Utah and Western Colorado
Saw this book at the gift shop at Arches National Park. Saved $10 by ordering it from Amazon. More through maps and anysis than the cheapy guide books without being dauntingly academic.

Doug is on page 85 of 880 of Castles of Steel: Britain, Germany and the Winning of the Great War at Sea
After plowing through this author's book Dreadnought, which I found a little tedious with it's political and military/industrial manipulations,I was a little apprehensive about starting this. It is however, an action filled treat for me. The fleets, the ships and the men who fought the great and small sea battles of WWI. Plus I found an excellent condition copy for $8.98 hardcover copy at Half Price Books.

Doug is on page 86 of 216 of People of the Wetlands: Bogs, Bodies and Lake-Dwellers (Ancient Peoples & Places)
very useful book, dispels many historical myths. rather dry, which is kind of odd in a book about the people of the wetlands.

Doug is on page 94 of 278 of Medieval Iceland: Society, Sagas, and Power
This book is very well sourced and footnoted, however it's slow going because I have a natural tendacy to try and pronounce the Icelandic words throughout. They are truely "fair jaw crackers".
